Gold Standard Security provides a high visibility important security service in the prevention and reduction of alcohol-related problems, that can lead to public crime and disorder whilst giving those wishing to travel late at night an increased feeling of safety.

Our staff working as Taxi Marshals are licensed SIA Door Supervisors with training in Customer Service, Conflict Management and Emergency First Aid at Work.

For the last four years, Gold Standard Security have successfully supplied Taxi Marshal service to Staffordshire Police Force, funded by the Commissioner’s Proceeds of Crime Fund.

The first purpose why Taxi Marshals are needed is because traditionally disorder would flare up at flashpoints while people wait for taxis to go home. Normally people are alcohol-fuelled and tension builds in a compact area where no person is responsible for maintaining a queue or to spot potential offenders or victims and to inform the local CCTV office or the police.

The second purpose of the scheme is to provide a point of contact for vulnerable persons who may have become detached from their friends or family, lone females and people with children and ensure they are supervised correctly while they wait and if they have become alone while waiting for a taxi, the Taxi marshals will wait with them and ensure they are safely taken home by a creditable licenced taxi company.
